This is the down and dirty, no fluff version of cleaning and seasoning your smoker. 

The guide has links to tools, pictures, and a detailed, step by step, explanation of what I'm doing as I clean and season my backyard pit.

Running this process helps keep a pit functioning well (read better brisket) and last a lifetime.

The seasoning process is specifically for unfinished metal smokers, but the cleaning process applies to pretty much all metal smokers... if the inside of your smoker is finished metal, just be careful using anything that will scrape the finish off.
